- To become Ozeki, you need 33 wins on your last three performances as a Makuuchi
wrestler, and for Yokozuna promotion 24 wins on 2 basho and at least one yusho or
jun-yusho record is needed . You can be demoted from Yokozuna if you get two makekoshi
in a row. The same goes for an Ozeki demotion, and like in real Sumo, you can come
straight back to your previous rank if you get a 10-5 record the following Basho.
Notice that the Ozeki promotion may be allowed from 30, 31 or 32 wins on 3, if the
score average is very low, the basho very tough, and it depends on the final decision
of the Juryo Game committee.
- Other classic rules of promotion or demotion are the same as in real Sumo, "luck
of the Banzuke" and all..
- Every new player gets a theoretical position at the end of the
Banzuke and will be ranked AFTER the basho begins by join date.
- 4 Kosho in a row = retirement (intai).
- You can change your flag each time for every new basho and fight for a different
country each time.
- These rules have been fixed but could be changed, if the promotion criterias turned
to be too high or too low and the Juryo Game Committee can discuss every promotions/demotions
like the real Ozeki-promotion-Committee does, for example.
